Up for auction is a phs documented 1974 pontiac trans am 455 turbo 400 with a 308 posi ten bolt rearend car is all numbers matching and believed to be actual 93 thousand original miles as i bought it out of a barn the car has been sitting since 1987. I bought the car off of the gentleman that has owned it since 1984 he drove car through high school. The car was painted one time right before he bought the car he busted driver's side wheel spoiler shortly after having car so he replaced with the blue one from a junkyard... And he wanted to change out carb and intake so out went the old and he bought a edelbrock torker intake and a holly carb. But it never got put on as he got married and had kids ... Car sat untouched in a barn until he decided to sell it. He said he just bolted everything back together just to sell it... I planned on going through motor anyways. The car is all original minus intake and carb and stereo and back plate on shaker but he didn't cut it out he unbolted it and hard ware is still in place just missing the back plate and the head lights are missing. Car is numbers matching has the yy block code and has 4x heads on it car still has all duct work for shaker and drain hose. Options are 455 4 bbl... Stainless molding hood. Tilt steering wheel... Car was shipped out 10-25-73. There were only 4,648 1974 455 trans ams made for the 1974 model year. The dash in this car is nice with no cracks the original stereo is missing but they didn't cut it out like most did back in day the carpet would clean up nice with a good cleaning seats are decent door panels are decent car has the 8,000 tach with 160 speedo the car does not run. I bought it just way it is i planned on redoing but i just purchased a 1971 w-30 oldsmobile so unfortunately i can't keep both. The tires are pretty dry rotted but are good rollers and hold air all glass is in good shape ... Weinsheild has one small crack... Now for body the hood inner fenders core support and doors and trunk pan are all solid. Now for the metal that will need replaced is the trunk lid. Both quarter panels inner and outer wheel tubs and a passenger side rocker panel ... The drivers i was just going to patch the rear pan under rear number has some rust but isn't terrible i believe it would be easier to patch rather then to replace i have showed the worst parts of car up close to try to be clear. What will car will need and what it will not. Car must be paid in full with in 3 days of auction ending. Can hold car longer as long as car is paid for in full no exceptions!!! Car was ordered Matador red with a ivory white top and black interior with WT coded 400 factory 350 horse coupled to a Muncie m20 4 speed and a 3:55 posi rearend and a set of factory ordered disk brake set up in front to stop it with according to the PHS paper work. My friend bought this car off of a gentleman that had it since 1978 sitting in bottom of a dirt floor barn. This car sold new out of AL MIKULICH PONTIAC in East Lansing Michigan
